i stayed in a family room canal view and the view was superb. every day, my room was cleaned which i appreciated. the beds were comfortable and i slept soundly.
the stairs were very narrow, so bringing up luggage was hard. there was no air conditioning, so the room was warm. the breakfast room lacked space, i sometimes had to wait for a table.

location was fine but a few things not up to par

narrow stairsslanted ceilings
the stairs up to the fourth floor were kinda a nightmare. it was like climbing mount everest after a long day. the room had these slanted ceilings, even in the bathroom, so moving around reminded me of an obstacle course. plus, the radiator was acting up, there was no in-between.

the location was quite good. i was close to many places.
My room was not ideal. There was a lot of noise. the internal sounds, like footsteps and other people on the stairs, were loud. it was hard to relax. The soundproofing was not sufficient.
